Been way too long!

It has been forever and a day since i last blogged.

So much has happened in the last two months.
With Sebastian going to live with my dad, Hugo (my beardie) going to a new home and me fostering 5 cats.

Sebastian is doing great, I see him all the time, just as I take my chis with me everywhere, so Seb goes everywhere with my dad. (he is such a little lapcat... lol)
Hugo was rehomed, with me moving into my new place and everything going completely wonky, i just didnt have the time to spend with him that he needed, so he went to a very good and loving home, and i can go see him whenever i want to.
so far 3 of the 5 cats have been rehomed, we are hoping to rehome Smokey to a good home soon and we will be keeping little Jazz...

This is her...

She is so super sweet.

Other news is that Gwen and Gordy managed to tie (without my consent, as we were definitely not looking to breed with any of our pups) and is now pregnant. Today she is exactly 5 weeks along. We will be finding very good homes for the pups!

Its been a very stressful time, waiting for results, hoping for a false pregnancy and now having to cope with all the niggly bits that come along with a pregnant doggie.

here are some pictures of Gwennie throughout the process.

The pups are due end of Jan/early Feb. Will be sure to give regular updates and post pictures of the babies soon as they arrive.

Nooshie is doing great, Gordy is too, apart from the usual summer flea infestation. But we are going to the beach regularly, the sea water seems to help with the flea control.

Catch ya all soon!

Frantic Friday!

News:
I have decided to leave my brood totalling 4 furkids, so no new kitten in sight for now.
We are moving house in a week and I want to get us settled before we go adding more furkids to our family.

Bastian is in kitty hospital, he has cat flu, the vet says we caught it early and he should be fine. Waiting for him to come home. Missing him something awful!

Tomorrow is again Saturday! yipee! back to puppy school. If i remember to take my camera with, i will be sure to snap a few pics of Gwens classmates so you can all see them!

Pups got their new harnesses yesterday, Gwen's first as you will know. She is already so much more relaxed on the new harness than she was on her previous one. I am so glad.
Nyuschka has a little puppy cold, but we have her on something. She is fine tho! Running and playing, just a little snotty.

All the pups slept on moms bed last night, and although its summer now and getting to be rather warm in the evenings, mom had to have a blanket over her so the kids would be comfy and get settled.
The things we do for our little fur children. :)

Will catch you all up again on Monday!

Early Christmas gifts!

So I know we are like 2 months early. But I couldnt resist. I had some extra cash and decided to treat the pups to some new harnesses.

Gordy and Nooshies old ones were look very tatty and Gwen didnt even have one.
So i ordered some new custom harnesses from parkavenuedogs.com

They arrived today and are abslutely gorgeous! Kelly does great work!
And of course the pups look great! Gordy looks so handsome in his blue one and Nooshie is a vision in pink (and orange) and Gwen, of course, is just so so so pretty in her new very feminine harness with a little black lace. here are the pics....

I am just thrilled with the harnesses and the pups look majorly cute in them! loving it!

Hope you enjoyed! :)

Pupdate 19.10.09

Hey all

Its just been the weekend as you all will know.
Gwen had her second puppy class, she is doing well.
She managed to meet some horses, some chickens and some goats on the farm where the puppy school is held. She was thoroughly freaked out. lol. The goats were intrigued by her and she was exploring the fields ferverently, all those smells had her enthralled!

Gwen also met a 5 month olf Irish Wolfhound. Gwen was a little scared of her, her overwhelming size was just too much for Gwen. But what a beautiful pup. At least Gwen came out of her shell a little more this week, playing and chasing the other pups (Labby and Scotty).

but all in all a good weekend.

As for Zoe (my new kitten), not sure I will be getting a second kitten anymore. The vet called this morning and told me that one of the ladies who work there didnt know that Zoe was spoken for and gave her to some one else. They did say they had 5 new kitten also looking for homes, so i will go see them and decide if we will be adding another kitten to our pack. I did sort of realy have my heart set on little Zoe, so I may just decide to keep the pack as they are for now.

Anyhoo, here are some pictures of Sebastian for those of you who are wondering what he looks like.

He is just so sweet.
I initally wanted a second kitten to keep him company, but to be honest, he and the dogs are getting along famously and they play with each other. So I am not all that convinced that I need a second kitten to keep Baz company. but I will go look and if one of them catches my fancy and i just cant walk away, then I will bring home a second kitten.
Also I was originally taking the kitten as a rescue because they couldnt home her and she needed a home desperately. These kittens dont need a home as a matter of urgency or life and death, So I am very much in two minds.

But I will let you all know what i decide this evening when i go and see them. :)

Peace, love & respect!

First blog post!

eeeeek! I am now officially a blogger.

Introductions: My name is Leey and I have 3 chihuahuas. Yupyupper Gordy who is a red male, 2.5 yrs old, Pamistand Nyuschka who is a fawn female 2yrs old and Yupyupper Gwendolyn who is a tri colour chocolate female 8 months old.

Been a pretty intense week! Nooshkie turned 2 last Sunday, we had pancakes for lunch to celebrate. She was also spayed 2 weeks prior to that and her stitches came out Monday. So she was all in party mode.

Tuesday Gwen was bitten by a spider, her whole face swelled up, throat too. Was incredibly scary. Poor baby! gave her some benadryl and rushed off tot he vets. She got a shot and some Prednisone. Sat up the whole night with her, she really wasnt too well. There was vomitting and loose stool. Poor angel. Everything kept swelling up and then going down and then swelling up again. She (and I) was exhausted Wednesday, poor dear slept through the day. But I am glad to report that she is well and healthy again. Still a little drained but no more red rash or swelling, and she is eating again.

Saturday 3 October, we attended a local fun dog show, entrance fee went to charity. We managed to clean house! well a little. Gwen ranked 6th in her class (Thoroughbred), Nyuschka placed 1st in her class (Extreme dog - smalllest, fattest etc) and Gordy managed a joint 3rd place with Nooshie in the fancy dress competition. Nooshie also took Res Champion. All in all a good day.

Puppies in the fancy dress competition!

Gwen started puppy classes last saturday (10-10-09). She did great. She is by far the smallest in the class at 1.6kilos, amongst a dobie, a scotty and a labby. Its so funny to watch. The smallest by far and the cheekiest too. (also funnily enough the oldest being 8 month and all the other pups being 8 weeks).

We recently brought home a kitten, he is just the cutest, we named him Sebastian (well... Sir Bastian actually). The puppies were none too pleased with me, but they seemed to have accepted him as another puppy. every other cat that comes near them, they go into attack mode and try to rip it apart. So Baz had a mild viral infection and we had to make a trip to the vet. Just before we went in the receptionist asked to see Baz and begged me to take a kitten they had in the back who was abandoned at 3 wks old. Me being the super softy that I am, couldnt say no, so Little Zoe is coming home this Monday. I fear my pack is growing in leaps and bounds, pity my wallet isnt keeping up.

But nothing in this world can compare to the love of a furkid, so I will eat less MacDonalds and make it work.

Peace love & respect!
